RULE UPDATE · v0.13.0SCANDINAVIA
Recent rule changes currently applied to the game
1. Automatic Turn End After Logistics
Once a logistics action is actually performed after the main action, the turn ends automatically.
The player ends the turn manually only when no logistics action is used.
2. Digital Control · Unified Crew Transfer
In the digital game UI, all of the following use Crew Transfer.
- Board Crew: Crew → friendly main ship
- Disembark Crew: ship → adjacent land square
- Ship-to-ship Crew transfer: source ship → destination ship
- Merge Boat: Boat → friendly main ship one square directly ahead
- Disembark King: Draki → adjacent land square
There is no separate King Disembark button.
3. King Disembarks First
If a King and Crew are both aboard a Draki, the King must disembark before any Crew.
- While the King remains aboard, Crew cannot disembark from that Draki onto land.
- After the King has disembarked, Crew may disembark on a later logistics action.
- This is a disembark-priority rule and does not prohibit ship-to-ship Crew transfer.
4. Boarding and Boat Creation
- Boarding is allowed only on your own coast.
- If no friendly main ship can accept the Crew when it enters its own coast, a Boat is created.
- Boarding or Boat creation consumes both the main action and logistics action, then the turn ends automatically.
5. Online Multiplayer Only
- White and Black each begin with 10:00.
- Only the side to move loses time.
- Reaching 0:00 is an immediate loss on time.
- Confirmed resignation is an immediate loss.
6. Threefold State Rule
When an identical game state is created for the third time, the player who creates that third occurrence loses. It is not a draw.
7. 80-Ply No-Progress Draw
The game is a draw if 80 combined plies pass without any of the following progress actions.
- Capturing a piece
- Recruiting Crew
- Boarding or disembarking a King or Crew
- Transferring Crew between ships
- Creating or merging a Boat
Ordinary movement does not reset the counter. If a third identical state occurs first, the existing threefold-loss rule takes priority.
8. MATCH 5 Scoring
Alongside single games, a match is won by the first player to reach 5 points through a round victory.
- Conquest (King reaches the far rank): winner 3 · loser 1
- Sea, land-King, naval-King, and technical wins: winner 2 · loser 1
- The loser's single point cannot clinch the match. At 4:4, a 2–1 round produces 6:5 and the round winner wins the match.
- Between rounds the board and online clocks reset, scores and history persist, and sides alternate.
